PLN#6 Colorado trucker pulls girls from fiery wreck

This article was sad because it was about a man saving two kids from a car crash but couldn’t save their mother. I thought the trucker who saved the kids is a hero for risking his life to save the kid’s life. If I was in his place I don’t know what I will do. That’s why this article matters to me because I need to be more grateful of my parents. I would be devastated if I lost my parents in a car wreak. This should matter to the world because some people need to know there are good people out there doing good deeds. Also people should put other people in front of them like what the trucker did in this article. I think this story reflects to Luck skywalker if he was a hero or not because the guy and Luck are both heroes because they both saved people's lives.

PLN5 Tacos, pot served to Lakewood couple

The article is about a couple who were notice something in there food order. It was marijuana. The person who did this was a cashier at Del taco. The cashier was a guy he eventually got fired when the couple notified the cops that they had pot. I think what matters to the cashier is keeping his job and not getting charge with drug possession. What matters to the couple is having the guy fired and getting a punishment that he deserves. This article matters to me because I would never do anything that dumb. Also I wouldn’t ruin my life because of drugs. Drugs are making community scary and dangerous. We should make it a state effort to find and destroy drug dealers. We can’t have people like the cashier running around and scaring the public. I think the cashier put the weed in as a joke. He probably thought it would be funny when actually its not. I think this should matter to the world because if people were in this situation then they should report the police like the couple in this article. Also kids today need to think about the consequences before they do something that dumb because they can get in a lot of trouble.

This matters to me because I have family who lives there and I thought it would be cool to know what it is like over there like politics. Also I might be going to Panamá during the summer and would be good to know what is going on and have a little knowelge before entering a differnt country. This article is interesting because it shows how different politics are from the U.S. I learned that in Panamá there has been a woman president and could be a second. This refelcts to me becuase I think its good to learn about other cultures and haveing to realize the differences between other countries.This should matter to the world because it shows how women can actually be president in a different country. People in America should give women a chance to be president because I haven’t seen any women be so close in becoming president. I think it’s great to see women in Panama taking charge and trying to run for president. This article shows how much women can be more independent and show men that they can do jobs that men succeed in. Women today can be independent and do whatever men can do even if they want to run for president.

Overall, I think the debate lack intensity because Obama and McCain both needed to be passionate about their answer to the public.The debate was boring. They answered their questions fine but they needed more than that. They needed to relate to us and be more positive about their answers. I didn’t like how McCain would attack Obama saying he is too young and has no experience. He does have experience he was a senator. Obama won the debate because he was attacking each question better than McCain. He actually wants to help the middle class as he said in the debate.McCain on the other hand barley talks about helping the middle class. Over all I think Obama won the political debate. This matters to me because I think it’s very important to know who is going to be president and see what the person believes in and stands for. This matters to the world to because our country needs a good candidate to run our country. People in America needs to know who will be a better candidate for this counrty.

The You Tube video on "Did you Know" was Interesting because, I would never think about the questions the video gave us. It was about how the internet is changing the world and how crazy the ratings are for MySpace,Google and other webs. It’s also showing people how you can basically research almost anything with just a click on the computer mouse. The video matters to me because it shows how much the internet is teaching us things that we never knew in the first place. This also Influence me because I can learn a lot of new things from the internet and how much it can change the world.This matters to the world because people today need to realize how the internet is a big part of our everyday lives. Also the “Did you know” video is making people right now think of new ways to improve the internet and making it easier to use.
